Waste management and resources

Steve Jobs observed that simplicity can be harder than complexity, requiring hard work to make thinking clear and simple. Applying this principle when using IT to solve an environmental problem helped us translate complex waste management into simple parameters on one digital record platform. The starting point was the vision of a circular European economy that member states were working towards by 2025.

What is a circular economy? It extends product lifecycles and substantially reduces waste. Repeated use adds value by balancing human and natural timescales: nature generates and regenerates slowly, while people produce waste rapidly. Reusing waste in the same or another form helps balance these processes. Two closely linked concepts emerge:

Context and perspectives

According to statistics from accredited European Parliament bodies, Romania performs relatively well in overall collection. Management and returning materials to circulation remain weaker areas, while landfill remains prominent. The aim must go beyond thousands of landfill sites or polluting incinerators and instead return used products to the economy. For details, see the online article at Europa.eu.

Waste record-keeping requires precise, tailored management with highly accurate traceability. Evidentadeseuri.ro gives generators, collectors and environmental consultants a complete tool aligned with Romanian and international legislation to integrate waste management into a sustainable circular economy, in line with European aspirations for 2025.
