Romania’s National Health Insurance House (CNAS) has launched a digital service bringing together information on health insurance, prescriptions and reimbursed services.
What can you check online?
According to the CNAS press release dated 2 September 2026, registered users can view:[1]
- Insurance status and the healthcare package they are entitled to.
- Prescriptions issued over the last five years.
- Health history available for the last ten years.
- Reimbursed medical services including amounts or points reimbursed to providers.
- The health insurance card its status and their health insurance house.
How do you get access?
Initial authentication uses ROeID digital identity. If you do not already have an account, you can create one through the dedicated app and complete its identity verification process.
CNAS states that verification may take between 24 and 72 working hours.[1]
A useful detail: creating an account is not mandatory to receive the healthcare services you are entitled to. The national health insurance card remains valid.[1]
What about medical leave?
Medical forms are becoming digital, but access to a document should not be confused with checking its administrative processing status.
The procedures for submitting medical leave certificates to an employer still apply.
Accessing personal medical information is different from managing a company’s occupational health documentation.
At QHSE by DoHu, we follow these changes and how digitalisation can support better organisation of information.
Accurate information, available at the right time, makes everyday tasks easier.
